Who Really is Sarah Palin

Much can be said regarding Sarah Palin by many different voices across our country, for me, Ms. Palin was just another proverbial: “flash in the pan”, is about all I can say in honesty.  Until now!

When I was a kid, many years ago, I hunted and fished every opportunity I could get; since then, I’ve given up both sports, but support those who still enjoy the “true” sport of the two aforementioned activities.  However, hunting as our forefathers hunted, not by airplane, fishing by rod and reel, not by nets or explosives.

So, why have I resurrected Palin from the obscure and hopefully forgotten?  Well, Ashley Judd is a pretty good reason, who brings us up to date and her involvement with the “Defenders Action Fund” by way of a YouTube video entitled: “Sarah Palin’s Ongoing Wolf Slaughter

Ms. Judd speaks of the slaughter of wolves in Palin’s State of Alaska, where she is currently servicing as governor, and Palin’s support for hunting by air of one of our country’s national treasures, “the wolf.”

During the video Ms. Judd refers to the website “Eye on Palin”, which is located here.

And here’s the YouTube video:

Governor Sarah Palin continues to push extreme methods to kill wolves and bears, seeking to eliminate hundreds of wolves this season through Alaska’s aerial wolf killing program.

Her state’s Board of Game has even approved the killing of young wolf pups in or near their dens, a controversial practice that was illegal until 2008.

To complement this video; I’ve uncovered on Politico an article authored by Alex Isenstadt, written on the 2nd of February and entitled: “Judd vs. Palin.”

The article I’m afraid details Ms. Judd’s feeling a bit more in dept than I have outlined; here are some of the excerpts from Alex’s article, which I have high lighted certain segments I feel are important.

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has a new foe — Ashley Judd.

Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund, with a hand from the actress, has launched a Web-based campaign targeting Palin over her environmental record.

In a video premiering on the organization’s new Web site, EyeOnPalin.org, Judd takes aim at Palin for allegedly promoting the aerial killing of wolves in Alaska, and goes so far as to accuse Palin of proposing bounties for severed forelegs of killed wolves.

“It is time to stop Sarah Palin and stop this senseless savagery,” Judd says in the ad.

It’s not the first time Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund, a progressive environmental organization, has taken aim at Palin over the aerial killings. During the presidential campaign, Defenders launched a national television ad campaign focused on the topic.

In a statement announcing the launch of the anti-Palin campaign, Judd says she is “outraged by Sarah Palin’s promotion of this cruel, unscientific and senseless practice which has no place in modern America.”

“Because she is apparently determined to continue and expand this horrific program, I am grateful that Defenders will aggressively fight to stop her. I am proud to be a part of that effort,” Judd says.
