We know the battle ahead will be long. But always remember that, no matter what obstacles stand in our way, nothing can stand in the way of the power of millions of voices calling for change.

For when we have faced down impossible odds, when we’ve been told we’re not ready or that we shouldn’t try or that we can’t, generations of Americans have responded with a simple creed that sums up the spirit of a people: Yes, we can.

The Purpose of this Blog and my Personal Commentaries

I am a  retired American Electrical Engineer, whose living as an expat in a Southeastern Asian country and have been for the past seventeen years.  I consider America my home and my present country of residence my second home.  The reasons I departed the US are many, perhaps to numerous to bore the readers of this blog with, but in quick summary I can say I departed for the chance of opportunity and for the past ten years my unhappiness with what I perceived with America’s changing society and the “Me” generation.

Since, my departure from the states I’ve followed our government’s actions closely thru the Clinton and Bush years in office and can say I was impressed with former President Clinton’s performance as President and deeply distressed by form President Bush’s behavior.  Today, many Americans are dumping on Bush, but this dumping on my behalf commenced on his theft of the Presidency in 2000, not because I’m one of the American citizen’s who has finally woke up and discovered the damage he has inflected on both America and the world; instead, I studied how he governed Texas and his background, both in business and academics.

Enough gripping, starting during the Primaries (April of 2007) I followed both the Republican and Democratic candidates closely, and being a Democrat supported Governor Bill Richardson until he departed in December, 2007 and after serious consideration threw my support behind Senator Obama, which as grown to heights that I’ve never had in a candidate before.

I fully support President Obama, so much of this blog is not only devoted to supporting the President , but also the faith I have in my fellow Americans and our now changing system of government.

Throughout my personal commentaries I feel the reader will find some rather strongly worded opinions, both negative and positive regarding our President, our Legislative Branch of government and the interpreters of our Constitution, the Supreme Court.

It is my sincere hope not to offend the readers of this blog on my commentaries, but only to provide one American citizen’s observations on our political system of government.

Early adopters are always impressive and I complement you on recognizing Obama so early from so far away.
